The City of Ferndale seeks proposals from qualified developers (individuals or firms) interested in participating in the development of three (future) parcels of real estate that are part of a city-led mixed-use development project known as “the dot” (Development on Troy). The development features four levels of public parking and pedestrian oriented street improvements, street-level commercial space, upper level office &/or event space, and a residential &/or office building along Allen Street.
The project site, located at 221 W. Troy Street is currently being used as a surface parking lot. The site plan for the mixed-use project has been approved as a Planned Unit Development (PUD) by the Planning Commission and City Council in October 2017. The PUD was amended in June 2018. The PUD agreement and associated plans are located on www.parkferndale.com The City is looking for a creative approach to development that accommodates the approved PUD.
