Temporary Closure of Allen Rd. and Alleyway

August 14, 2019

With work on The dot parking development project entering its seventh month, the construction team must now perform necessary water and sewer line work that requires temporary closure of the Allen Rd. alleyway.

The project’s construction team, Colasanti, will close the western portion of the alley (currently open to three properties for garage access) on Wednesday, August 21, and expects to temporarily reopen it by the end of the first week of October. Allen Rd. between the alley and W. Troy St. will also be reduced to one lane or closed between September 23 and the end of the first week of October; flaggers will be used to direct traffic during these times.

Residents will not experience any disruption in water service due to this work. Colasanti’s team is doing everything possible to minimize closure times—prepping the area, waterproofing, and installing signage ahead of the alley and road closures to reduce impact to area residents. The work being performed is essential to the timely completion of The dot.
